Sedtrade had its humble beginnings as a general works contractor first established in 2008 under the trading name of ‘Sportsfields for Africa’ where we had provided specialised sporting infrastructure and facilities.
Over the years, the group has grown through the undertaking of many challenging projects and accumulated skills, knowledge and experiences in design & build solutions, project management services and related built environment trades, to become a well-respected & reputable leading contractor in the industry with the highest level grading achievable in the industry.
Today, Sedtrade takes on the role as Main Contractor on all scales of projects, performs specialised trades on all built environment projects across the spectrum of development typologies, and excels as a fully integrated construction solution provider.

Over the years, we have built a reputation for ourselves based on service excellence and superior turnarounds. Health & Safety
Sedtrade adheres to the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), in conjunction with the Construction Regulations of 2014.
Internal and contractor compliance is managed through documented work policies and procedures, with the application thereof being managed by means of routine audits and inspections.
Our appointed safety management consultants ensure that productivity remains uninterrupted, whilst safeguarding employees, as well as the interests of relevant stakeholders.
